Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 7, 2026

This policy explains what we collect, why, and who can see it — in plain English. The short version: we collect what's needed to run a study platform, we don't sell your data, and we don't show your progress to anyone except you (and, only for organization-provided exams, your organization's administrators).

What we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we cannot read your password).
  • Study activity: your practice sessions, answers, scores, and progress — this is the product working, not surveillance.
  • Purchase records: what you bought, when, and the receipt email. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Waitlist signups: if you ask to be notified about an upcoming exam, we store that email and which exam.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information. Full stop.
  • We don't send marketing email you didn't ask for.
  • We don't track you around the web.

Who can see your study progress

Your progress is private to you, with one clearly-disclosed exception: if an organization (like a training center or employer) provided your access to an exam, that organization's administrators can see your progress on that exam only. Exams you buy yourself stay private, always. We disclose this at invite and at redemption, and it's written into how the system grants access.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.

Service providers we rely on

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email (receipts, password resets, invites).
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Neon — database hosting.

Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.

How long we keep data

Account and study data persist while your account exists, so your history and lifetime access keep working. Purchase and audit records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes.

Your choices

  • You can update your name, email, and password in Settings.
  • You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by emailing support@itpracticeexams.com. We'll act on verified requests within 30 days (purchase records we're legally required to keep are retained).

Age

The service is intended for users 16 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the effective date above and notify you by email for significant changes.
